Ita Wegman was a medical doctor with great vision and a capacity for achieving things. She lived in Switzerland in the early part of 20th century and through her knowledge together with the insights of philosopher and scientist, Rudolf Steiner created the basis of a medicine focused on the development of the Human Being. Based on Goethe’s observation methods, this extended medicine includes different therapies. She founded the Ita Wegman Hospital in Arlesheim, Switzerland.

Today her work inspires hundreds of enterprises worldwide, including this Brazilian Ita Wegman Institute, which aims to promote projects and initiatives that further the progress of humanity in the areas of Medicine, Science, Economics and Youth Development.
